WIP Wednesday: Building a city

Man, things have been busy around here. I still need to blog about spring break and Easter, not to mention my finished Into the Woods baby quilt (that post will be up tomorrow), but for today, just a quick WIP check-in. After finishing the Into the Woods quilt, I decided to take a little break from projects for other people and work on something for me (what a novel concept), so I dove back into my Patchwork City sampler quilt. First, here are the two blocks I finished during my QuiltCon class with Elizabeth Hartman.
Haircut

Onramp (Probably my favorite so far. Love these colors!)

This week, I managed to finished the Duplex block that I started in the workshop:
And I added three more blocks to the finished pile:

Fence

Donut Shop
Crosswalk

These blocks are so addicting, and I'm loving the scrappy nature of this project. I also love that it's a sampler, so I keep getting to try new things instead of making the same block over and over. I suspect I'll have to set this aside before too long to work on some other pressing projects, but this one will be great to have on the sidelines to pull out when I have time. Just 69 blocks to go...

The neverending (and usually growing) to do list:
Into the Woods baby quilt
Vintage Quilt Revival sampler project
Patchwork City sampler quilt
STLMQG charity project tote
Mini quilt for the Cotton + Steel mini quilt swap
Triangle baby quilt
STLMQG charity quilt (or two)
Hazel the Hedgehog quilt
Doll quilt and pouch set
Superhero cape for B
Sorbetto shirt
Aviatrix Medallion quilt
Swoon quilt
Quilt for guest bed (maybe the Spiced Chai quilt from Vintage Quilt Revival??)
Sunset Tiles quilt (from Scraps Inc.)
T-shirt quilt
Sewing circle tote
Re-cover the downstairs chair
Ironing board cover
Washi dress/tunic
I'm linking up to WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.

  1. I love On Ramp and Donut Shop!! I'm a big rainbow gradient lover, though, so On Ramp naturally would be my favorite! Your work in progress list looks like mine! Good luck with it :)
