Completed this week:
Block #2 of my Early Bird/Kitchen Window quilt
I sure do love those little toasters.
Kindle sleeve tutorial — look for it tomorrow!Started this week:
This month's Style Stitches bag, the Origami Bag Set. This is a set of 6 zipper pouches in different sizes, which, while very cute, I don't really need right now. Still, I don't want to miss a month of the challenge, so I'm planning to just make one of the bags.
I like the example shown here in the book, where the bag is used to store ribbon. That's the plan for my bag.
In progress:
Blocking the Early Bird/Kitchen Window quilt
Possible sewing projects for friends: hemming pants and making curtains
AND I'm considering participating in my first quilt along. I know — I've barely begun my first quilt, and I'm already thinking about jumping into another, but these two look so beautiful, it's hard to resist:

I totally vote for the Supernova quilt-along! The solids quilt along looks like fun, too, but I definitely vote for joining the Supernova quilt along :) Your Early Bird wip looks great so far, that's one of my favorite collections :)
ReplyDeleteThose toasters are adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job and got a lot done. If you got that much done and were out of town, Wow! I'm just a slow poke quilter, I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen window blocks look great! I can't believe this is your first quilt! I, of course, vote for you joining Supernova. Quilt-alongs are great for beginning quilters, because you have a place to ask questions, etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday, have a wonderful week. : )
That is going to be a fun quilt. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThose bags look fun. I haven't heard of the Style Stitches bag challenge but it sure looks fun!
Where did you find the toaster fabric? It is adorable! I'm going to do Supernova too.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen window looks great! I'm wavering on the Supernova too. It will all depend on if I can find the perfect fabrics in my stash!
ReplyDeleteI've also been on the fence about that Amy Butler book. I really want it, but I have too many projects already!
I love the cute toaster fabric! What a fun tutorial!
