WIP Wednesday: Binding and arching

Sorry for the little bit of radio silence, but it's that crazy beginning of fall rush around here. And it's definitely one of those periods where it seems like every time I mark one thing off the to do list, five more things get added. Such is life, I suppose.

First, I finished quilting my Fancy Fox and Hazel Hedgehog mini from the Elizabeth Hartman workshop I took a few weeks ago. I was also able to assemble my Vintage Quilt Revival blocks from QuiltCon into a mini sampler baby quilt, which also got quilted. So these two just need a little more binding to go into the history books.
Last weekend, I took an amazing workshop with Carolyn Friedlander to learn her needle-turn applique technique (more on that in a future post), so now I have this Catenary quilt mini to add to my list. I think this will be an ongoing project that I'll work on as I have time, but it'll be nice to have a hand-sewing project to turn to.
Next, I need to knock out a little baby blanket (for which I've pulled some cute Ann Kelle dinosaur fabric) and then finally finish (ahem, start) my Washi top. It's on!

The neverending to do list:
QuiltCon triangle challenge quilt
QuiltCon bonus quilt
Dinosaur patchwork blanket
September Emerge Circle quilt
Vintage Quilt Revival mini sampler quilt
Catenary mini quilt
Jewelry travel pouch
Patchwork City sampler quilt
Allie Owl quilt
Menagerie quilt
Hazel Hedgehog quilt
The Kittens quilt
Aviatrix Medallion quilt
Swoon quilt
Spiced Chai quilt (from Vintage Quilt Revival)
Sunset Tiles quilt (from Scraps Inc.)
T-shirt quilt
Sewing circle tote
Re-cover downstairs chair
Clothing for me! (Washi Dress, Sailor Top Shirt, Sorbetto Top)

  2. Wow, love all your work - the colors are terrific! I know what you mean about fall - there's always so much to do, and all I want to do is create - too bad for me until this year - I'm an empty nester. Sad but it sure gives me more time to sew....

  4. You are on a roll, aren't you? I haven't picked up my Fox and Hedgehog blocks since the EH workshop. Must do! Loving your Vintage Quilt Revival blocks in the solid colors. They are striking!
