WIP Wednesday: Pointy things

Funny, this week's post looks a lot like last week's, only everything's a bit further along. I haven't started anything new, thank goodness, but I'm trucking along on the Convergence and Fading Star quilts. I finished the backing for the Convergence quilt and, after much consultation with the hubs and fabric store coworkers, got started started on the quilting using some of the beautiful new Aurifil threads I won a few weeks back.

The quilting's all finished in diagonals one direction, but now I'm debating whether to do another round in the opposite direction to make a crosshatch. Thoughts? You can see the thread color gradation best in the second photo below. The lines are spaced a half inch.
I also finished two more blocks in the Fading Star quilt, though to be fair, one of the blocks isn't really a star, and I finished the cutting and planning for the rest of the quilt. See where I'm going with this yet?

And in case you missed it, I finished the reveal post for my Brass Ring baby quilt late last week. Such a happy quilt!
The neverending to do list:
Brass Ring baby quilt
B's Halloween costume
Convergence quilt
Fading Star quilt
September Emerge Circle quilt
Catenary mini quilt
Jewelry travel pouch
Patchwork City sampler quilt
Allie Owl quilt
Menagerie quilt
Hazel Hedgehog quilt
The Kittens quilt
Aviatrix Medallion quilt
Swoon quilt
Spiced Chai quilt (from Vintage Quilt Revival)
Sunset Tiles quilt (from Scraps Inc.)

  1. Gosh, that thread is perfect for the triangles, what a lucky win! You have some lovely projects here. :)

  2. I love the quilting in one direction with the three different colors! I wouldn't change a thing, it's perfect!

  3. I'm torn on adding the cross hatch to the quilting. I like the one way, kind of like wind blowing the triangles. I'm say keep it the way it is.
