WIP Wednesday: Lots of littles

Welcome back! I've had a really productive week, which always feels nice. First up, I finished my mini for the IG Cotton + Steel mini quilt swap. I need to get some proper pics to do a full post on this one, but I'm so happy with how it turned out and can't wait to send it off.
I also finished this perfect zip pouch as a little bonus goodie for my partner. This was the first time I used the curved version of this pouch, and it worked out great. Such a good pattern.
I also finished up a new doll quilt using a slightly modified version of my Covered in Stripes doll quilt tutorial and a large version of the open-wide zippered pouch, which will both be headed to a friend who's expecting a new little one. Her first two daughters were the recipients of the original Covered in Stripes doll quilts, so it was only appropriate that the new little lady get one, too. I love those little bikes! The extra-large pouch is for mama. :)

Then, I got to work on several new projects from my crazy list (see below). I'm actually making a skirt for myself! The pieces are cut and everything, and I'm planning to make myself finish this before moving on to anything else. I'm using some Robert Kaufman chambray and Noodlehead's vintage-inspired skirt tutorial. Wish me luck!
Finally, I pulled fabrics for a new perfect quilted tote, which I'm making for an STLMQG charity project, and my June bee blocks for the do.Good Stitches Emerge Circle. This is our first month as a new do.Good Stitches circle, and I'm so excited to finally be joining in on a quilting bee. We're doing the Bright Birch pattern from Crazy Mom Quilts.

  1. That is such a cute fabric combination on the doll quilt. I am sure that little girl will love it. Unless her mom steals it for a table mat. I would be tempted if I were the mom.

I like the format of your to-do list. I have one in three sections: completed, in progress, newly begun. I used to post it weekly but now only monthly or so since it is kind of repetitious. It is hard to maintain plus there in no room for my wanna do's. Yours is much more brief and to the point. It is time to rethink my status tracking method.

    1. Thank you! And, yes, while my list is long, I find it's most helpful to me to just lump it all in once place. I generally know what needs to come first, and if I tried to break it up, I'd probably just spend more time rearranging my list instead of sewing. :) Good luck with yours!

  2. Now that is a perfect point! (first pic). Love the bags too - great fabric choices!
