Let the canning begin!

This weekend, we finally got started on our canning for the year. There have been so many amazing things at the farmers' markets already, but we just couldn't bear the thought of standing over a hot stove all afternoon, so we've missed out on making our strawberry jam and some other goodies.

But on Sunday, Matt sucked it up and got to work. On the agenda: canning tomatoes and peaches.

Next weekend, we plan to break out the jams and restock our supply of some delicious plum jam. From there, we'll follow where the markets take us.
